Practical advice to meet, pay, hand over and rent items safely.
Most transactions on Vastulo go smoothly. These habits help keep it that way.
Meeting in person
- Meet in a busy public place during daylight, or bring someone with you.
- Inspect the item thoroughly before paying. For vehicles, check the documents and take a test drive.
- Trust your instincts: if a deal feels rushed or too good to be true, walk away.
Payments
- Never pay in advance for an item you have not seen.
- Do not share OTPs, UPI PINs, card details or passwords with anyone. Receiving money never requires your PIN.
- Be wary of buyers who send a payment link or a QR code to "receive" money, or who claim to have overpaid.
Rentals
- Book and pay only through Vastulo so your booking, deposit and evidence are recorded.
- At pickup, photograph the item and its accessories before sharing your pickup code.
- Share the return code only after you have physically handed the item back.
- If something is wrong at pickup, do not accept the item. Report the problem from your booking instead.
Protect your account
- Keep conversations in the in-app chat until you are comfortable sharing contact details.
- Use a strong, unique password and log out of shared devices.
